I Love This Picture
July 2nd, 2008 | by Matt |I love this picture of Kevin. I look at it often and it is my desktop background at work. I like that it’s just a plain every-day picture without a funny face or a nice outfit. Just Kevin, as he is in my memories. What a cute little boy.

I miss him so much, every moment of every day. I remember Kevin and Keaton sitting on the fireplace smiling and studying each other. Kevin would be so careful around the dogs trying not to step on them, and then plop down on Brutus and give him one of his jaw-clenching hugs. Such a sweet way to show his love and happiness.

I think he looks so much like you, Matt, when you were little. So cute and innocent and a look of intelligence behind the gaze. : )

We are all so grateful and enriched that you are able to share your experiences with us. My heart aches for you all so much and if there was anyway I could be a sponge to soak up your pain – I would do it for you all in a heart beat. I know it hurts. I know time heals. I know it will still hurt. Counting the weeks. Counting the months. Counting the Fridays. Remembering the events….Remembering the good times you had with Kevin and you’ve shared with us all!
Only a parent knows how when your children hurt, you hurt more. Parent or not, when your loved ones hurt, you hurt with them. Kevin’s short life brought so much joy and life bewilderment to so many – he had a twinkle in his eyes like not often experienced! Living each day as if it was the first! We love you and will always be here for you!

Dear Matt, Dawn and Emily,
I wanted to let you know how much my heart aches for you all. I check Kevin’s website and continue the journey with you. I only wish I started it sooner and knew your precious boy. Oh! So beautiful. We hope you enjoy the wind chime for Kevin’s garden. When I picked out I thought it sounded like Kevin happy and lite. Plus it has four chimes that resembles your family. The purple laspis stone resembles healing and stregth to carry on. Remember I am hear for you. Gods BLessings, Amy
